APPLIED GEOPHYSICS AND GEOPHYSICAL INFORMATICS
New information technologies for the geophysical studies are as
follows: development of the method of active seismology and
investigation of a possibility of seismic sounding for studying
the deformation processes in the Earth's crust and upper mantle
using vibrators; development of the method of multi-dimensional
Fourier transform on the basis of the theoretical-numerical
approach; analysis of parameters of seismic-acoustic signals
along the mixed traces and their effective use in the problems of
vibrosounding of the Earth; development of the basis for the
study of peculiarities of propagation of seismic waves to
teleseismic distances of about 1000 km and measurement of their
parameters using vibrational sources.
New technical schemes of powerful seismic vibrators for the
global monitoring of the Earth, algorithms and systems for the
automatic control of vibrators, check systems providing high
accuracy of reproduction of seismic sounding signals are under
development.
Methods for the selective detection of faintly luminous
celestial bodies moving along orbits where they can pass in the
near future in the dangerous proximity to the Earth are being
created.
Computer methods for the geological prospecting using the
investigation of operations, pattern recognition, mathematical
analysis of similarity with the analysis of the degree of
similarity are being elaborated.
